9. Bombay Boys (1998):

Kaizad Gustad's Bombay Boys was indeed a hatke film for its time. Three boys of Indian origin (played by Naveen Andrews, Rahul Bose and Alexander Gifford) come to Mumbai in pursuit for their personal goals, decide to share an apartment and become friends.

6. Chasme Buddoor (1981):

A term used to ward of the evil eye was beautifully weaved into a romantic comedy by Sai Paranjpye, one of Bollywood's few female directors in the 1981 film starring Farooq Shaikh, Rakesh Bedi and Ravi Baswani as three friends. This film, like the previous film on our list Delhi Belly, also has a Delhi backdrop.

5. Shaukeen (1982):

Basu Chatterjee's 1982 film is a little different from all the other movies on this top 10 list. This isn't about three young men but is about three lecherous

out on a vacation to enjoy the pleasures of life. The object of their fantasies is Rati

3. Delhi Belly (2011):

The latest rage in the movie theatres. This just released unabashed film directed by Abhinay Deo has become one of the showcase films of modern Bollywood cinema. The film revolves around three friends Tashi (Imran Khan), a journalist; Nitin (Kunaal Roy Kapur) a photographer; and Arup (Vir Das), an artist with an ad agency who stay together in a dingy flat. 2. 3 Idiots (2009):

One of the biggest hits in Bollywood history, Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots is loosely adapted from Chetan Bhagat's hit novel Five Point Someone. The film
captured the fun of hostel life and was also a critique on our education system. The film is about two friends' (R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi) hunt for their long lost friend (Aamir Khan) who changed their lives for the better.

1. Dil Chahta Hain (2001):

The ultimate friendship film (and the third on this list with an Aamir Khan connection) Farhan Akhtar's directorial debut seems still as fresh a decade

Dil Chahta Hain was a fresh whiff from the done to death yeh dosti hum nahi todenge variety and portrayed male bonding that the audiences could identify with. For its sheer awesomeness, it ranks right on top of our ranking.
